Wonderful View from Puerto Vallarta

Puerto Vallarta, have you ever been there ? well I haven’t, but If I get a chance to go there, I would love to, I will take the opportunity right away. From an article I read, Puerto Vallarta is tropics region in Mexico - almost the same as the country I live now, Indonesia -  and having a similar weather like Hawaii too. Only the different is, if Puerto Vallarta has rain falls the most during July - September, here, the rainy season falls most by November to April.

Mango during rainy season

In Indonesia, there are some popular types of mango. Indonesian name it with gadung or harum manis, manalagi, and podang ( it’s named with podang because the color is yellowish/reddish like the bird podang :D ).

The mango tree is tall with hard wooden stem and strong root. The leaves are in dark green.

Mango is said to have many kinds of vitamin and other nutrition too. The prominent vitamin that mango has is vitamin A and C as the best anti-oxidant, very good for skins, and mango has a high fiber too.

The Beauty Behind Small Rain Lily

In Indonesian, this flower is known as bawang sebrang or bunga coklat (cocoa flower in English) . Though named as bunga coklat or cacao flower, this little flower doesn’t have anything to do with cacao. Due to its beautiful colorful flowers, the cacao flower is often used for decoration

Rain Lily or Bawang Sebrang (Zephyranthes candida Herb.)

In English, this species is called the Rain Lily (Zephyranthes candida Herb.). The Rain Lily originally comes from Chile and Brazil. It has a long and thin leaf that flopping from the corm located in ground.

Rain lily is a small tropics terna, with the height only up to 30 cm.

The leaf is curved and slippery, and the flower has a single handle in single white colour and dice, and formed like funnel that facing upward. Perhaps that is the reason why this flower is called ‘ lily’ :)

Rain lily for healing

1. Epilepsy :

10 gr herbas (Z.candida) + lump sugar, braised together then drink.

2. Spastic at children :

a. 10 - 15 grs fresh leaf + lump sugar, braised, drink.
b. 10 - 15 gr herbas + salt, pulverized, to patch at forehead
