Samurai after Meiji Restoration

During Meiji authority, the samurai was dismissed. To protect country’s sovereignty, Meiji established an army which was taken from samurai and civilian through military due.

The elimination of samurai was automatically put samurai into aside. The samurai then tried to seek job to live their life. The samurai then became artist, farmers, traders, and some of them became attorney. While some other parts of the samurai still last the martial arts by founding Kendo Institutions.

Though the ‘samurai’ had been dismissed, but the spirit and strength still be memorized and proud of.
