Great Architecture of Giza Pyramid

Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest pyramid in the world, which located in Necropolis of Ancient Memphis, and now as a part of Greater Cairo, Egypt. Giza pyramid is said to be made as Firaun/ pharaoh’s cemetery, the forth dynasti of Egypt named Khufu. While the Greek called the term ‘ Khufu’ with ‘Cheops‘.

A research toward this Great Pyramid was conducted by Sir William Mathew Flider Petrie in 1881. Great pyramid of Giza was built in between more than 20 years long, and approximately last around 2560 BC. The Great pyramid of Giza is titled  ‘Khufu belongs to the Horizon’. This pyramid is also called Khufu Pyramid.

Great Pyramid of Giza shaped in 230 meters square, and estimated as built wih 2,3 million blocks of stone, with approximately 4 thousands skilled stone masons involved. It is made of limestone which were ferried across the Nile from East Bank, the burial chamber and inner passages inside the pyramid is made granite.

Great pyramid of Giza is the main monument of the cemetery which consists of two temples as a respect to Khufu. One temple located near the pyramid, and the other one near to Nile river. Three other pyramids shaped smaller that Giza pyramid, and was made for Khufu’s wife.

A ‘satellite’ pyramids – which are smaller than the three pyramids for Khufu’s wife – is more like a heighten path. This is the graves of the aristocratic.
